Morning departure from you chosen pick-up point and with comfort stops en route we’ll travel south towards Ennis and arrive at the hotel to a delicious welcome drink of hot chocolate before unpacking, relaxing and getting ready to enjoy your evening meal with entertainment.
Enjoy the dramatic scenery on a morning visit to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher rising 120 meters up from the Atlantic Ocean – from the O’Brien Tower at the top, on a clear day you can see for miles and miles, the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, as well as the Twelve Pins and Maum Turk mountains in Connemara, and the Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Islands in Kerry. Then we drive on through the strange beauty of the Burren, a unique rugged landscape sprinkled with meandering streams, sparkling lakes and limestone caves. We’ll arrive back at the hotel for a demonstration of how to make the perfect cheesecake, and of course it would be rude not to sample it. Tonight there is yet more evening entertainment after the meal.
We visit the historical city of Limerick for a bit of shopping and then enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Benedictine Monastery at Glenstal Abbey. Back at the hotel there will be plenty of time to get your glad rags on before a fabulous gala evening meal with traditional Irish entertainment provided by an authentic local musician. Polish off your dancing shoes for an exciting New Year’s Eve Celebration of Dance – get down to jives, waltzes, salsas, cha cha chas to name but a few before counting down to the New Year.
We take it easy after a late night, enjoy a leisurely brunch and then experience a window on Ireland’s past exploring 19th century Bunratty Folk Park and it’s 15th Century Castle. We’ll arrive back at the hotel for an afternoon of some of the best Christmas movies accompanied by tea/coffee and mince pies. On our last evening, we’ll enjoy the final night of quality entertainment with our meal.
This morning we’ll bid farewell to Ennis and join the coach for the journey home to your original joining point.
