You meet your coach and travel to your hotel in Kilkenny, with comfort stops en-route arriving at your hotel late afternoon.
This morning join your coach and enjoy a drive exploring the areas around Kells, Carrick-on-Suir, Clonmel, Cahir and Cashel where you will enjoy a visit to the Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland’s most visited sites, a spectacular group of medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale.
After breakfast enjoy a trip on the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway. Experience the beauty of the Suir Valley from a period carriage and take in the wonderful panoramic views of the river and rolling farmland of Waterford and across the river to County Kilkenny, an area, rich in history and only accessible by train. Afterwards visit Waterford, the oldest city in Ireland, with free time to explore.
This morning after breakfast you travel to Kilkenny to enjoy the day free at your leisure. Every Thursday Kilkenny city plays host to Kilkenny Farmers Market, with individual stalls selling everything from fish to fowl, bread to broccoli and everything in between. There’s no better place for a wander than Kilkenny City, with its medieval cobbled streets and old-world charm.
You will depart your hotel to make the journey homewards, stopping off en-route in Dublin for free time before returning to your original joining point.
