The St Nicholas Fayre is one of the most popular Christmas markets in the UK, with thousands visiting York for this event. The fayre offers a selection of markets selling specialist gifts, crafts and local farm produce. As you shop you can enjoy the sweet aroma of mulled wine, and the melodic sounds of carol singers. This weekend break is based in the lovely old spa town of Harrogate, with its beautiful gardens, Victorian buildings and its wide tree-lined streets.

Itinerary

Friday:

You meet your coach and travel to Belfast to join the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival, you will continue to your hotel in Harrogate with comfort stops en route to your hotel in Harrogate, arriving late afternoon in time to freshen up before your evening meal

 

Saturday:

This morning after breakfast you travel to the historic and beautiful city of York, to enjoy the renowned St Nicholas Fayre, a sense of stepping into a scene from a Dicken’s tale with bustling Victorian market stalls selling everything from local produce to traditional gifts and crafts, all accompanied by the smell of roasting chestnuts. For unique presents from a different era head to the Medieval Market at Barley Hall. Be sure to try a pint of traditional ale or a glass of mulled wine at the medieval bar!

 

Sunday:

After a leisurely breakfast and checking out you will depart your hotel and travel to Cairnryan to join return ferry crossing to Belfast with comfort stops en-route. On arrival, you will return to your original joining point.
