This property is 9 minutes walk from the beach. This elegant hotel has welcomed guests, including royalty, for more than 200 years. Located in Stirling city centre, it has free parking, a traditional bar and a restaurant serving Scottish beef and lamb.
The family-owned Golden Lion offers modern rooms, each with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee and ironing facilities. Each bathroom has a hairdryer, bath and shower.
There are shops, bars and cafes on the hotel doorstep, and the magnificent Stirling Castle is just 0.6 miles away. The William Wallace Monument is less than 10-minutes drive from the Golden Lion.
The Library Bar has light bar meals, and stocks a range of malt whiskies. The adjacent City Brasserie offers a tasty breakfast and a varied, creative menu, including locally caught seafood.

You meet your coach and travel to Belfast to join the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival travel to Glasgow where you will enjoy a visit to the multi-award winning Riverside Museum home to over 3,000 objects that detail Glasgow’s rich past. Later that day you travel onwards to your hotel in Stirling.
This morning you visit Edinburgh to enjoy free time at your leisure. Afterwards you will re-join your coach for the short journey to the early evening performance of the Tattoo (Driving time back to the hotel might be longer due to increased traffic).
Please note that day two itinerary is provisional until performance times are confirmed.
After a leisurely breakfast and checking out enjoy free time in the medieval city of Stirling, why not visit Stirling Castle, which overlooks the ancient city of Stirling and is one of the historic buildings that have come to symbolise the spirit of Scotland (payable locally). Later in the day you will travel to Cairnryan to join the ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
