Our 3 day trip gives you the chance to relax and enjoy a full day in 2017 at Scotland’s prestigious event. Each year thousands of people flock to the Royal Highland Show to see and taste the experience of the very best in farming, food and rural life. With visits to the Riverside Museum, home to some of the world’s finest cars, bicycles, ship models, trams and locomotives, interactive displays and the hugely popular historic Glasgow. Discover how 300 years of farming and rural home life have shaped and altered Scotland’s countryside in the purpose built museum with a visit to the National Museum of Rural Life, tour a period farmhouse for a sense of what living on a farm was really like more than 50 years ago.

This elegant hotel has welcomed guests, including royalty, for more than 200 years. Located in Stirling city centre, it has free parking, a traditional bar and a restaurant serving Scottish beef and lamb.
The family-owned Golden Lion offers modern rooms, each with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee and ironing facilities. Each bathroom has a hairdryer, bath and shower.
There are shops, bars and cafes on the hotel doorstep, and the magnificent Stirling Castle is just 0.6 miles away. The William Wallace Monument is less than 10-minutes drive from the Golden Lion.
The Library Bar has light bar meals, and stocks a range of malt whiskies. The adjacent City Brasserie offers a tasty breakfast and a varied, creative menu, including locally caught seafood.

You meet your coach and travel to Belfast to join the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival you travel towards Glasgow with a visit to the Riverside Museum, home to some of the world’s finest cars, bicycles, ship models, trams and locomotives, interactive displays and the hugely popular historic Glasgow street scene. Later that day you will travel to your hotel allowing you to check in before your evening meal.
You depart the hotel early this morning, and head towards Ingliston Showground for the full day at the Royal Highland Show, and enjoy a full programme of events. You depart the showground late afternoon and return to your hotel.
Today after checking out you travel to the National Museum for Rural life, discover how 300 years of farming and rural home life have shaped and altered Scotland’s countryside in this large, purpose-built museum. See combine harvesters, tractors, threshers and many other inventions designed to make farming life more efficient and profitable, and find out how machines have increasingly replaced people in farming. Later that day you depart and return to Cairnryan for your return ferry crossing to Belfast.
