Itinerary
Day 1:
This morning you will meet your coach and travel to Larne to join your early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. You will stop off in Carlisle for lunch and free time, before continuing your journey to your hotel in Shap, arriving mid afternoon for check in. Dinner has been arranged in the hotel and the evening is free at your leisure.
Day 2:
This morning after breakfast, you will travel to the market town of Kendal. Ideal for shopping, with its great malls and street markets, you will also find an array of cafes and restaurants. In the afternoon you will travel to the charming village of Grasmere, where you are free at your leisure to explore one of Cumbria’s most popular villages. Later in the day your coach will return you to your hotel for dinner and the rest of the evening is free at your leisure.
Day 3:
This morning after breakfast, you will travel to Haverwaite to board the steam train for a delightful 20 minute journey to Lakeside. On arrival in Lakeside you will then join the ferry cruise to Ambleside. This 90 minute cruise takes you down Lake Windermere, England’s largest natural lake and allows you to witness some of the Lake Districts most spectacular scenery. To end a wonderful day you will have free time in Bowness, the most popular holiday resort in the Lake District to explore its many shops, cafes and places of interest, including the world of Beatrix Potter. Later in the day you will return to your hotel for dinner and the rest of the evening is free at your leisure.
Day 4:
This morning after breakfast and after checking out, you will depart your hotel and travel to the popular town of Keswick, where you will have free time to explore before travelling to Cairnryan to join the late afternoon ferry crossing to Larne. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
