The Riverside Hotel is situated on the banks of the River Kent in Kendal only a short walk from the famous market town centre.

Hotel facilities include bar, restaurant, health and leisure club.

Day 1:

You meet your coach and travel to Larne to join the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival, you will continue to your hotel in Harrogate, arriving late afternoon.

Day 2:

This morning after breakfast, you travel to Scarborough, Britain’s first seaside resort where you enjoy some free time. Afterwards, rejoin your coach and travel to the beautiful maritime town of Whitby for free time before joining the vintage steam train journey to Pickering.

Day 3:

Today you are free to explore the spa town of Harrogate with its fabulous shopping, cafes,  cuisine, glorious gardens, stunning architecture, history and heritage.

Day 4:

After breakfast, you depart the hotel and make your way to the Lake District, enjoying en route the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, and a visit to Wensleydale Creamery. After check in, you are free to explore the market town of Kendal, located only a short walk from the hotel.

Day 5:

Today you travel to Glenridding to join a ferry cruise on Ullswater Lake, quoted as being ‘England’s most beautiful lake’. Afterwards you will travel to the popular town of Keswick
to enjoy the renowned Saturday Market, before travelling to the charming village of Grasmere.

Day 6:

This morning after breakfast, you travel to Haverthwaite to board the steam train for a delightful 20 minute journey to Lakeside. On arrival, you will then join the 90 minute Lake Windermere ferry cruise to Ambleside, allowing you to witness some of the Lake District’s most spectacular scenery. To end a wonderful day you will have free time in Bowness, the most popular holiday resort in the Lake District.

Day 7:

Today after a leisurely breakfast you depart your hotel and travel to Cairnryan, stopping off in Carlisle en route. On arrival in Larne, you return to your original joining point.
