Group Travel Feedback 2014
Some exceptional feedback from our Groups that travelled in 2014!
Dumbarton Pipeband Championships – July 2014 – Raphoe Pipe Band
“Another successful trip to Scotland thanks to Andrea and Travel Solutions – all went exactly to plan and we had a great time relaxing knowing all was in hand. 1st class service. Looking forward to the next one – World Pipe Band Championship in Glasgow in August!”
Riddell Brothers took their customers away in February to Birmingham. They included a visit to the NEC for Agricultural Event. They also enjoyed a guided tour of the Land Rover Factory, and ended their trip with a visit to Cheshire Oaks McArthur Glen Designer Court.
“Everything went extremely well, the customers seemed to really enjoy it and overall were really happy. So much so that they wanted to know when the next trip was lol!! Our sales man was particularly impressed with the coach and the driver. He said he was really helpful and accommodating, so you can pass that on. Many thanks for your help Andrea. Don’t think things would have went as smoothly without your expertise! No doubt we’ll be in touch if we decide to run anything else”.
Slemish Area Womens Institute – Co Wicklow trip
On the morning of May 2nd, seventy two ladies set off for the Annual Four Day Putting to this year’s venue, Bray in County Wicklow. The first stop was An Grianan for a most welcome cuppa and some scones. Then it was on to Dublin to spend the afternoon shopping and sight-seeing, before going to The Royal Hotel in Bray.
The next morning was free until noon when all boarded the coaches to go to The Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall. Everyone enjoyed an added touch of luxury lunch at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The ladies then undertook garden walks and paid a visit to Tara’s Palace. After dinner Ethel and helpers organised a programme of entertainment, as was the rule every night of the stay.
On Saturday the ladies visited Glendalough, The Meeting of the Waters and Avoca Mills, with time to spend over lunch and browsing in the shop, also seeing the weavers at work. Back at the hotel ICA National President Liz Walls and twelve ladies from Delganey Area ICA joined with everyone for dinner.
On leaving the hotel on Sunday morning, the group headed back to Dublin for a tour of the Guinness Stonehouse and yet more retail therapy in the city, before making their way to The Tannery at Moira for a cavery meal to finish off a brilliant, sunny, informative weekend.
Grateful thanks to Stephen at Travel Solutions, the drivers Paddy and Tommy, and tour guide Alistair for a safe, pleasant journey. A weekend thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
