Day 1:

Meet your coach at your selected joining point and travel to Belfast for the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival in Cairnryan, we continue our journey to Derby with comfort stops en-route before arriving at your hotel late afternoon.


Day 2:

This morning after breakfast depart for a memorable day out in the High Peaks as we journey over ‘Snake Pass’ traversing across the National Park to the vantage point of Bleaklow overlooking Ladybower Reservoir, where the Dambusters trained during WWII.  Further on is Derwent Reservoir, with the ruins of Derwent Village hidden beneath its waters.  Continuing to Eyam the plague town from 1655, with its museum and the imposing ruins of Peveril Castle, dating back to 1176.  Finally, visit the pretty village of Castleton, home of the legendary Blue John Caverns, said to be the finest in the UK.


Day 3:

After breakfast travel to admire the beauty of the Peak District as you sit back and glide past villages and open countryside on a nostalgic 25-minute steam train journey between Rowsley and Matlock.  Enjoy some free time in Matlock Bath, beside the River Derwent. It is a popular tourist destination, located in a steep and beautiful gorge.  Take the cable car up to Abraham Heights or explore the number of attractions, walks, shops and eateries.


Day 4:

Todays’ first stop is Bakewell with a visit to the original Bakewell Pudding shop, where the famous tart is still made. The afternoon is spent at nearby Chatsworth House and Gardens ‘The Palace of the Peaks’ with its rich interior furniture and unique treasures. It is one of the finest stately homes in Britain. Meander round the 105 acres of landscaped gardens with sculptures, mazes and waterfalls set against a backdrop of Peak District countryside.  Free time in the spa tour of Buxton.


Day 5:

This morning after breakfast and checking out, we travel back to Cairnryan with comfort stops en-route to join the evening ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining port.
