Join us as we discover historic Chester, one of the best preserved and most beautiful cities in the UK. Spend time in historical city and learn that each chapter of Chester’s history is etched into the very fabric of the city. The ancient city is a truly breath-taking experience with its city walls, the largest Roman Amphitheatre in the UK, the oldest racecourse still in operation in the world and a 1000-year-old medieval cathedral. To make the most of the sights, enjoy a short cruise along the River Dee. During this tour you will also visit Tatton Park, one of the UK’s most historic estates with acres of parkland and gardens to explore.

Itinerary

Day 1

Let our tour to the Historic Chester commence! Meet one of our wonderful tour managers at your selected pick up point as we begin our journey to Dublin for the early morning crossing to Holyhead. Sit back, relax and enjoy all the facilities Stena Line has to offer onboard before you are taken back in time to explore the wonders of Chester.

Day 2

After breakfast enjoy some free time in Chester to do some more exploring and sightseeing before enjoying a short cruise on the River Dee

Day 3

Today we visit one of the UKs most complete historic estates, Tatton Park. There are so many things to see and do here, you will not want to miss a thing! Tatton Park is made up of a medieval Old Hall, Neo-Classical Mansion, 50 acres of landscaped gardens, 40 acres of working farm and 1,000 acres of parkland. Tatton Park Gardens are almost a complete picture of how the gardens existed in Edwardian times and are always a staple highlight. Afterwards, it is time for some retail therapy at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, where you can grab yourself some designer bargains.

Day 4

It is the final day of the tour, but we make sure you get to make the most of it before we make the journey home. This morning after breakfast and checking out, join your coach as we travel to visit the cathedral city of Bangor. Re-join your coach and travel to Holyhead to join the early afternoon ferry crossing to Dublin Port. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
