Barcelona ➤ Palma, Majorca ➤ Cannes ➤ Livorno (Florence/Pisa) ➤ Civitavecchia (Rome) ➤ Naples (Pompeii) ➤ Messina ➤ Valetta ➤ Corfu ➤ Dubrovnik ➤ Split ➤ Venice (Trieste)

DAY 1 – Arrival & Barcelona

On arrival at Dublin Airport terminal 2, proceed to the Aer Lingus bag-drop desk, and through security to your departure gate.

On arrival in Barcelona, after collecting your luggage, make your own way to Barcelona cruise terminal where your cabin on the Norwegian Breakaway awaits

Once onboard explore the ship and all it has to offer. Why not take the opportunity to book any excursions or Broadway shows you may like to do during the week? (Any NCL excursions booked are at an additional cost)

DAY 2 – Palma (Majorca), Spain

On the one hand, this city, founded by the Romans some 2,100 years ago, is replete with (literally) wall-to-wall history and architectural splendour. You can journey back in time and wander the mazes of alleyways and cobblestone paths that surround the Gothic cathedral. On the other hand, Palma is bustling with life, showcasing the island’s best restaurants, shops, nightlife and a vibrant art scene.

DAY 3 – Cannes, France

Drive up Suquet Hill for a view of the city, sea and Lerins Island – fabulous dahling! How many rich and famous can you spot, walk the palm-lined promenade de la Croisette and count. The French Riviera at its best…the International Film Festival calls this home.

DAY 4 – Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Italy

How lucky to visit the Tuscan region, Florence and Pisa, resplendent in art and history. What’s even more fortunate is that all the main attractions in Florence are centrally located for the perfect walking tour. See Santa Croce, Piazza del Duomo and Michelangelo’s David.

DAY 5 – Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy

Endless adventures await in Rome. With two and a half thousand years of history, art and culture, it is no wonder Rome is one of the most visited cities on the planet. Gaze at the masterpieces of the Vatican or walk into the past with visits to ancient relics, historic monuments and legendary museums. Or people-watch whilst sipping on an espresso in a quaint cafe.

DAY 6 – Naples, Italy

Cruise to Naples, located on Italy’s stunning Amalfi coast, a city rich in history. A tour around Naples’ grand piazzas, cathedrals and castles in the old centre will take you back centuries. Pompeii is not too far either, a dashing city which boasts diverse cultural offerings and charming streets.

DAY 7 – Messina (Sicily), Italy

The third largest city on the island of Sicily, Messina welcomes cruise ship visitors with its lovely harbour, extraordinary architecture (much of which miraculously survived a horrendous earthquake and tidal wave in 1908) and wonderful food. Stroll through Messina’s Piazza Cairoli taking in magnificent fountains and cathedrals, or sip Marsala wine at a sidewalk cafe.

DAY 8 – Valletta, Malta

Although somewhat scarred by World War II, Valletta prides itself on its magnificent Baroque palaces, piazzas, gardens and churches. The Magisterial Palace, built between 1571 and 1574, now houses the Maltese Parliament and offices of the President of Malta.

DAY 9 – Corfu, Greece

One of the lushest of the Greek Isles, Corfu is rimmed in dramatic blue waters and topped with tranquil hillside villages. A collection of quaint cafes in the town of Corfu feels very continental, but the island’s secluded coves and sandy beaches could only be found in the Greek Isles.

DAY 10 – Dubrovnik, Greece

Despite the magnificent 13th century walls that surround the city, Dubrovnik is one of the most welcoming cruise destinations in all of Europe. Dubbed “the pearl of the Adriatic” by the poet, Lord Byron, this Croatian city exudes romantic charm and beautiful scenery with its shimmering marble streets, centuries-old buildings capped by bright orange roofs, and lovely beaches ensconced between awesome rocky ledges.

DAY 11 – Split, Croatia

This Mediterranean city on the eastern shores of the Adriatic has a long and eventful history dating back to the awesome Diocletian’s Palace (circa 295 A.D.) in the centre of the city. Split offers cruise guests a wealth of exciting places to visit, from the majestic cathedral and marble streets in the centre of town to the harbour area with its cafe -lined promenades and views of coastal mountains.

DAY 12 – Venice (Trieste), Italy

The scenic port city of Trieste is steeped in history and natural beauty. Nestled atop a limestone plateau on a thin strip of land between the Adriatic Coast and Slovenia, the region has been ruled by multiple empires through the ages. This cultural fluidity is reflected in the awe-inspiring architecture and fusion of delicious cuisine found throughout the city. From touring museums and historic sites to strolling along its waterfront or reclining on a white-sand beach, this isolated, picturesque region of Italy boasts a wide range of attractions and activities.

All too soon you find yourself In Venice. Make your own way to Venice airport for your return flight to Dublin.

One checked in bag per person (20kg) is included plus one small cabin bag. Please see airline website for dimensions and restrictions. Cabin bags should be placed under the seat in front of you. Excess weight will be charged at the airport. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance in place before your departure. If you have a complaint or take ill during your holiday it is very important that you or a travelling companion reports this to your Tour Manager or Resort Representative immediately. If you are in a hotel where we do not offer this service you must report this to the hotel management and get a written confirmation. Failure to do this may affect how we can investigate and respond to any issues at a later time.
