Itinerary

Seattle ➤ Juneau ➤ Skagway ➤ Glacier Bay ➤ Ketchikan ➤ Victoria BC – Seattle

DAY 1

On arrival at Dublin Airport Terminal 2, make your way to the check-in area before proceeding through security to your departure gate. On arrival in Seattle, after collecting your luggage, make your own way to your 4* pre-cruise accommodation in Seattle for a great nights’ sleep.

DAY 2

Spend the day exploring Seattle at your leisure. The City sits on the slip of land between Puget Sound and Lake Washington, with the Olympic and Cascade Mountains serving as a dramatic backdrop for this oh-so cosmopolitan city. Soar up the futuristic Space Needle and experience the views atop this stunning landmark created for the 1962 World’s Fair.

DAY 3

This morning check-out of your hotel and enjoy some more free time in Seattle before making your way to Seattle cruise terminal where your cabin on the Norwegian Encore awaits.

Once onboard explore the ship and all it has to offer. Why not take the opportunity to book any excursions or Broadway shows you may like to do during the week. (Any NCL excursions booked are at an additional cost)

DAY 4

Spend the day at sea and enjoy all that Norwegian Encore has to offer onboard.

DAY 5

Juneau – Juneau has been called “Alaska’s peak experience,” certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau Icefields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak up one of the area’s many protected waterways, go flightseeing, tour historic downtown or try your hand at panning for gold. The majestic Mendenhall Glacier lies nearly 12 miles outside Juneau, a treck worthwhile.

DAY 6

Skayway – In a single year from 1896 to 1897, this remote town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travellers come in search of other riches – to experience yesteryear along Skagway’s charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days.

DAY 7

Glacier Bay (cruising) – Sail to Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, a United Nations World Heritage Site. Comprised of 3.3 million acres of natural wonders, it is home to magnificent glaciers, snow-capped mountains and abundant birds and wildlife.

DAY 8

Ketchikan (Ward Cove) – Thanks to its abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some of the world’s most lush wilderness. Its Tlingit Indian name, Kach Khanna, means “spread wings of the eagle.” Chances are you’ll see one of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree during your Alaska cruise to Ketchikan.

DAY 9

Victoria BC – Roam the spacious lawns of stunning Butchart Gardens with its exotic flora, unusual topiary and exquisite fountains. Explore historic Bastion Square, the treasures of Chinatown and the many sights and sounds to be found along the boardwalk of the Inner Harbour.

DAY 10

Seattle – All too soon you find yourself back in Seattle.  Disembark the ship and make your own way back to Seattle airport for your return overnight flight to Dublin Airport.

DAY 11

Arrive back at Dublin Airport

One checked in bag per person (20kg) is included plus one small cabin bag. Please see airline website for dimensions and restrictions. Cabin bags should be placed under the seat in front of you. Excess weight will be charged at the airport. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance in place before your departure. If you have a complaint or take ill during your holiday it is very important that you or a travelling companion reports this to your Tour Manager or Resort Representative immediately. If you are in a hotel where we do not offer this service you must report this to the hotel management and get a written confirmation. Failure to do this may affect how we can investigate and respond to any issues at a later time.
