DAY 1 – Arrival in New York, USA

On arrival at Dublin Airport, make your way to the check-in desk area before proceeding through security to your departure gate. On arrival in Newark Airport, after collecting your luggage, make your own way to your pre-cruise accommodation in New York for a great nights’ sleep before embarking on your NCL Getaway Cruise adventure.

DAY 2 – New York & Embark onboard NCL Getaway

Check out of your hotel and make your way to New York cruise terminal where your cabin on the Norwegian Getaway awaits.

Once onboard explore the ship and all it has to offer. Why not take the opportunity to book any excursions or Broadway shows you may like to do during the week. (Any NCL excursions booked are at an additional cost)

Everyone loves New York and there are a million reasons why. Here are but a few: the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, the Ellis Island National Monument, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, Times Square, Broadway, Greenwich Village, 5th Avenue and Central Park.

DAY 3 – Newport, Rhode Island
During the 19th century, Newport served as the summer playground for the rich and famous. Residents displayed their fabulous wealth in the form of palatial estates overlooking the Atlantic. Today, these extraordinary and meticulously maintained homes line the city’s famed “Mansion Row” and are a must-see for any visitor.

DAY 4 – Portland, Maine
Portland offers all the amenities of a big city: art districts, a vibrant waterfront, museums, parks and diverse shopping opportunities. But within minutes, you can be enjoying the view from an historic lighthouse or tasting a juicy, local lobster.

DAY 5 – Bar Harbor, Maine
This coastal attraction has retained much of its charm since its glory days of the 1900s, when America’s elite vacationed here in opulent summer cottages. Surrounding the rock-bound harbor is the world-famous Acadia National Park where the opulence of nature is on display.

DAY 6 – Halifax, Nova Scotia
Admire the rugged coastline that surrounds Halifax, the world’s second-largest natural harbor. This beautifully preserved city is Nova Scotia’s capital and was founded in 1749. Take steps through history and climb to The Citadel to witness the Old Town Clock.

DAY 7 – Saint John, Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick
Saint John’s history is evident in its weather-worn look, passing the tests of salt air, sea winds and a devastating fire that have all contributed to making Saint John the greatest little city in the east. Be sure to look for your ship in the port against the beauty of the Bay of Fundy from Fort Howe lookout.

DAY 8 – At Sea
Relax and enjoy everything NCL Getaway has to offer.

DAY 9 – Disembark NCL Getaway
All too soon you find yourself in New York. Please do not leave luggage outside cabin on the last evening. Disembark the ship and make your own way back to Newark airport for your return flight to Dublin.

A valid passport is required for this tour and must match exactly the name shown on your holiday confirmation. British Passport holders require 3 months validity from their return date. A Valid EU member state passport is required for this Tour. Travel Solutions recommend you have at least 6 months validity on British and Irish passports. Other passport holders should consult the relevant embassy. One checked in bag per person (20kg) plus one small piece of hand luggage. Excess weight will be charged at the airport. ESTA is required to enter USA.
