Scotland has many iconic landmarks, none more so than the impact the Firths of Clyde and Forth played in the heritage of Scotland and its influence across the world. Staying at the Rob Roy hotel in Aberfoyle, wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and is set within Scotland’s first National Park.

On this popular tour, there is a loch cruise on a Victorian Steam Ship. Be hoisted 35 metres by the worlds’ only boat lift. Marvel at the expanse of the 3 Forth Bridges as you cruise underneath to the wildlife sanctuary at Inchcolm Island.

Named after the legendary local folk hero Rob Roy McGregor, the hotel offers excellent food, friendly staff and is great value for money. Itinerary

Day 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Belfast Port to join the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival in Cairnryan we travel to Glasgow to enjoy some free time to explore the city. Glasgow is rich with industrial heritage, striking architecture and a brilliant mix of top attractions, there are hundreds of amazing things to see and do in this city. Late afternoon re-join your coach (departure point and time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and travel to your hotel in Aberfoyle in the Trossachs National Park. Check-in, relax and freshen up before dinner.

Day 2

Today after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach, travel through the glorious Trossachs to take your seat on the SS Walter Scott, one of the oldest steamships in the world. Cruise beautiful Loch Katrine whilst listening to the tales and legends of the loch narrated by a crew member. The day continues through Rob Roy MacGregor country to Callander and finally historical Stirling with its famous castle. Later we return to our hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach as we travel to visit two of Scotland’s top attractions – The Kelpies, and the nearby award winning Falkirk Wheel, where you board a boat to be hoisted 35 metres on the world’s only rotating boatlift. Afterwards, the tour heads towards Edinburgh for a wonderful 90 minutes cruise under the three famous Bridges, spanning nearly 140 years of Scottish engineering. The latest bridge opened in 2017 and is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world. The cruise head out into the Firth to Inchcolm Island, Where you can disembark to see the Abbey. Afterwards re-join your coach as we make are journey back to the hotel returning over the newest bridge.

Day 4

This morning after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach as we depart for a magnificent day of sightseeing – Loch Lomond, then across towards the Arrochar Alps and Loch Long. Over the ‘Rest and Be Thankful’ with free time in the ancient town of Inveraray, on Loch Fyne, with it’s castle dominating the skyline. After lunch, turning north the scenery changes as you enter the highlands. Photo stop at Kilchurm Castle, Loch Awe before turning south into Perthshire and along the shoreline of Loch Earn, stopping in the characterful town of Crieff before returning to your hotel in Aberfoyle

Day 5

This morning after a leisurely breakfast and checking out (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), we make our journey back to Cairnryan with comfort stop en-route before joining the afternoon crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
