Itinerary

Day 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Belfast to join the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival in Cairnryan, we’ll travel through the Loch Lomond National Park to our hotel in Fort William, a beautiful highland town, arriving at the hotel late afternoon with comfort stops en-route. On arrival check-in and enjoy some tea/coffee and Shortbread.

Day 2

Today after breakfast enjoy some free time to explore Fort William before we meet to board the train from Fort William to the picturesque fishing port of Mallaig. Travel the West Highland Line as you travel through the purple heather clad moorland and over the spectacular 21 arches of the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct. The route to Mallaig will take you past Lochs Eilt, Ailort and Nah Uamh – all beautiful – before arriving at Morar’s sandy shores, yet another cinematic location, this time Local Hero. The final stretch into Mallaig beings glimpses of Skye. We’ll have some free time in the enchanting fishing port of Mallaig before meeting the coach to make the scenic journey back to your hotel.

Day 3

This morning travel along the banks of Loch Ness to the pretty town of Fort Augustus, gateway to the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Visit the Clansman Centre, enter the doors of a 19th century church and step back in time to the 17th century to learn how families ate, lived and survived in the olden days. Learn how to put on a kilt and how the claymore was used before visiting the workshop where you can purchase handcrafted reproduction swords, dirks and shields. Afterwards re-join your coach, stopping off at the scenic village of Invermoriston for a photo stop before arriving in Inverness, capital of the Highlands, nestled on the banks of the River Ness and bursting with quaint buildings in the old town and unique little shops and galleries.

Day 4

Today after breakfast join your coach as we travel along Loch Linnhe stopping at the World- famous Glen Coe visitor centre before arriving in Oban. Known as the “Gateway to the Isles”, Oban on the North West Coast of Scotland has been a popular visitor destination since Victorian times, due to its sweeping bay, pretty harbour, and amazing scenic views. Spend the day at leisure exploring the town’s attractions, such as McCaig’s Tower, Oban Distillery and the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre. Mid-afternoon re-join your coach, and travel back to the hotel.

Day 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out, travel down the shores of Loch Lomond stopping in Glasgow to enjoy some free time to explore the city. Glasgow is rich with industrial heritage, striking architecture and a brilliant mix of top attractions, there are hundreds of amazing things to see and do in this city. Mid-afternoon re-join your coach and make your way to the port of Cairnryan to join the evening ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
