Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Dublin to join the early morning ferry crossing to Holyhead. On arrival in Holyhead, we travel to visit Cheshire Oaks Outlet village en-route to our hotel in Sheffield. Late afternoon arrive at the Mercure Kenwood hotel, check-in and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 2

After breakfast join your coach as we travel to Doncaster for our visit to delightful Brodsworth Hall. Explore the changing fortunes of a wealthy Victorian family and their servants. We see the Grand Drawing Room, Billiard room, family bedrooms, Victorian Kitchen, all featuring memorabilia from bygone times. In the afternoon we return to Sheffield to enjoy some free time at your leisure. Perhaps visit the botanical gardens, featuring a Grade 2 Glass Pavilions that house a wonderful collection of plants from the temperate areas of the world or explore some of the other museums and attractions in the city centre. Later return to your hotel to freshen up before dinner.

DAY 3

This morning after breakfast we start with a drive to Chesterfield, with the famous Crooked Spire of St Mary’s Church – how did it happen? enjoy some time to explore the market town at leisure. In the afternoon we travel to Hardwick Hall and Gardens one of the finest Elizabethan buildings in the country. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel.

DAY 4

Today after breakfast join your coach as we head into the peak district on a scenic drive to the picturesque market town of Bakewell. Here we take a break, and you can visit the original Bakewell Pudding Shop. From here we move on to Buxton, with its pedestrianised main street, delightful gardens, and magnificent historic buildings. This afternoon we travel to Lyme House and Gardens on the edge of the peak district. The gardens contain a Rose Garden, Ravine Garden and a lake that was the location where a certain Mr Darcy met Miss Bennet in the BBC production of ‘Pride and Prejudice’. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel.

DAY 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out, join your coach as we make our way back to Holyhead port with a comfort stop en-route to join the early afternoon ferry crossing to Dublin Port. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
