On arrival at Belfast International Airport for your flight to Naples. On arrival, your coach will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Sant’ Agata for check-in and dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast why not make the short trip into Sorrento and explore the city at your own pace. Sorrento is a town overlooking the Bay of Naples in Southern Italy, a popular tourist destination due to its variety of small antique shops and location on the Amalfi Coast. The town is most commonly known for its small shops selling an arrangement of ceramics, lacework and marquetry.
After breakfast, we travel to Vesuvius. We start the ascension of this famous volcano when we arrive at an altitude of 1000 metres. There is a magnificent panorama to be seen. We will continue our ascent but this time on foot, to reach the crater (roughly 20 minutes’ walk, good shoes are recommended). Later we travel to Pompei: a local guide will help you re-live the touching history of this city which was buried in 79AD in one of the most disastrous volcanic eruptions in history. We will see the baths, the Abundance street and the Faun House.
Today we journey to the port of Sorrento to board the ferry to the Island of Capri, an enchanting place with its beautiful rugged landscapes and mild climates. In Anacapri, we will visit the Villa San Michele and its beautiful gardens. In the afternoon after a pleasant walk to the gardens of Augustus, we will be able to stroll on the famous ’Piazzetta’’.
A day to relax and explore Sant’ Agata or Sorrento at your leisure.
Today we join the coach and travel towards the stunning Amalfi Coast with its amazing views. We will pass along Positano, the white cubic houses of this old fishing village reveal a strong Moorish influence, lush gardens dotted on terraced slopes go down to the sea before we reach Amalfi. We will then proceed to Ravello for a visit to Villa Rufolo before returning to the hotel late afternoon.
Enjoy your last day on the Sorrento Coast relaxing by the hotel swimming pool or take your time to buy some last-minute souvenirs and gifts.
This morning after breakfast and checking out. Enjoy some free time before saying good-bye to the Bay of Naples before traveling to Naples Airport for your return flight home to Belfast International Airport.
