Itinerary

Day 1 Journey West & Carlingford Stopover. Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and begin your scenic journey west. En route, enjoy a delightful stop in the charming medieval town of Carlingford, nestled between the Cooley Mountains and Carlingford Lough. Stroll along cobbled streets and soak in the town’s rich historic atmosphere. Continue your journey to Ballinasloe, arriving mid-afternoon at the elegant Shearwater Hotel & Spa, your home for the next few nights. Check in, unwind, and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 2 Connemara National Park & Kylemore Abbey. After breakfast (departure time confirmed by your Tour Manager), board your coach for a full-day tour of Connemara National Park, one of Ireland’s most breathtaking and unspoiled regions. Admire rugged mountain scenery, shimmering lakes, and traditional stone-walled fields as you journey through this magical landscape. Visit the magnificent Kylemore Abbey, home to Irish Benedictine nuns and renowned for its romantic setting, miniature cathedral, Victorian walled gardens, and gothic church. In the late afternoon, rejoin your coach for the return trip to your hotel to relax and enjoy your evening at leisure.

Day 3 Galway City Experience. This morning, after breakfast, head to Galway City for a guided 2-hour city and walking tour. Discover the vibrant history and culture of this medieval city with your engaging local guide, who will share fascinating and humorous tales of Galway’s past and present. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Stroll through the Latin Quarter, alive with music and bustling pubs, or treat yourself to Irish ice cream at Café Linnalla while admiring stunning views of Galway Bay. A day of culture, shopping, and hidden gems awaits.

Day 4 Strokestown House & Roscommon. After breakfast, travel to County Roscommon to visit the beautifully restored Strokestown House and Gardens. Enjoy a guided tour of this grand Georgian estate, known as the former home of the first landlord assassinated during the Great Famine. Explore the spectacular gardens and uncover stories of Ireland’s complex history. Later, stop in Roscommon Town, a lively and welcoming place with time to explore at your leisure before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon. Day 5 Mullingar Stop & Return Journey. After breakfast and check-out (departure time confirmed by your Tour Manager), it’s time to say farewell to Ballinasloe. Begin your return journey with a stop in the lively town of Mullingar, where you’ll have free time to shop, explore, or grab a bite to eat. Rejoin your coach for the final leg of your journey, arriving back at your original joining point by early evening, bringing a memorable trip to a close.
