Upon arrival in Scotland, we continue our journey towards Aberfoyle, with a scenic stop en route to visit the charming Loch Lomond Shores, located at the southern tip of Loch Lomond near the village of Balloch.

Here, you’ll have free time to explore all that Loch Lomond Shores has to offer at your leisure from stylish shops and cosy cafes to optional attractions such as:

  • Loch cruises (payable locally)
  • Sea Life Loch Lomond Aquarium (payable locally)
  • Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre (payable locally)
  • A small beach and walking trails, perfect for a relaxing stroll.

If you wish, you may also take the short 5-10-minute walk into Balloch village, where you can explore:

  • Balloch Marina
  • Balloch Castle and Country Park, with lovely views and landscaped grounds

Later in the afternoon, rejoin your coach (your Tour Manager will confirm departure time) and continue to the Rob Roy Hotel in Aberfoyle. Upon arrival, check in and take some time to relax and freshen up before enjoying a welcoming evening dinner.

Day 2 Perth and Scone Palace Today, after breakfast, join your coach as we head to enjoy a day steeped in royal history and riverside charm as we journey east to explore the historic city of Perth and the magnificent Scone Palace – the crowning place of Scottish kings. We take a scenic drive to Perth, enjoy a relaxed coach journey through the scenic landscapes of rural Stirlingshire and Perthshire.  On arrival in Perth, the former capital of Scotland, located on the banks of the river Tay.  Take some time to explore the city at your leisure, browse independent shops, cafes, and galleries.  Take A visit to Perth Museum, newly refurbished and home to fascinating local artefacts (payable locally). Grab some lunch before rejoining your coach as we take a short drive to Scone Palace, the historic crowning place of Scottish kings, including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce.  Enjoy a self-guided tour of the palace’s grand staterooms, antiques, and artefacts.  Wander through the beautifully kept grounds and the famous Murray Star Maze.  Before taking the opportunity to visit the gift shop for some unique Scottish souvenirs.  Then rejoin your coach as we take a scenic journey back to your hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner.

Day 3  Falkirk Wheel, The Kelpies & Forth Bridges Cruise After breakfast, board your coach and set off for an exciting day exploring some of Scotland’s most impressive engineering and artistic landmarks. Our first stop is the iconic Falkirk Wheel—the world’s only rotating boat lift. This remarkable feat of engineering connects the Forth & Clyde Canal with the Union Canal, and offers a unique and memorable experience.  Take in the stunning design and mechanics of the wheel, enjoy time to explore the visitor centre, watch the lift in action, or grab a coffee in the café.  Next, we visit The Kelpies, two towering 30-metre horse-head sculptures located in The Helix Park near Falkirk. Representing the mythical shape-shifting water spirits of Scottish folklore, these steel giants are a tribute to the country’s industrial and equine heritage.  Admire the sheer scale and beauty of the sculptures, enjoy time for photos and a stroll around the park.  Later, we travel to South Queensferry to embark on a relaxing Forth Bridges Cruise. From the water, enjoy spectacular views of the Forth Rail Bridge (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife—you might spot seals, puffins, and other seabirds during your cruise!  After a scenic and enriching day, rejoin your coach and return to your hotel in time to unwind before dinner.

Day 4 Departure and visit Aberfoyle After a relaxed breakfast and check-out (your Tour Manager will advise departure time), we begin our journey homeward. En route, we’ll make a brief stop in the charming village of Aberfoyle, nestled in the heart of the Trossachs. Take time to explore or pay a visit to the popular Scottish Wool Centre, known for its local crafts and Highland animal displays. We then continue towards Cairnryan, with a comfort stop along the way, before boarding the afternoon ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you’ll be transferred back to your original joining point, bringing your memorable tour to a close.
