The base for our tour is the 4-star Arklow Bay Hotel, located in the charming coastal town of Arklow. Itinerary

Day 1 Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point. Sit back and relax as you travel to County Wicklow, stopping enroute to visit Malahide Castle and Gardens. Malahide Castle is set on 250 acres of parkland in the pretty seaside town of Malahide, was both a fortress and a private home for nearly 800 years. A major feature of Malahide Castle Demesne is the beautiful Talbot Botanic Gardens. Within the visitor centre in the courtyard, an exhibition area tells visitors the story of the walled gardens as seen through the eyes of Lord Milo Talbot, the passionate creator of the gardens. Afterwards re-join your coach to continue the journey to your hotel arriving late afternoon, check-in and enjoy some time to freshen up before dinner.

Day 2 This morning we depart after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), join your coach as we travel to Explore beautiful County Wicklow. See Glendalough – making a stop at the Glendalough visitors centre, before passing the Wicklow Gap and enjoy stunning scenic views of Wicklow’s countryside and the two Blessington Lakes. Stopping to visit Powerscourt Gardens, one of the most beautiful estates in Ireland. The Gardens include an extraordinary series of Italianate terraces, a walled garden with beautiful gates, rose beds and herbaceous borders, the Dolphin Pond and a Japanese Garden. Visit the Powerscourt Distillery and enjoy a short talk and tasting of the award winning Fercullen Falls Whiskey. Late afternoon re-join your coach (departure time and point will be confirmed by your tour manager) and travel back to your hotel.

Day 3 After breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), join your coach and travel to visit the stunning gardens of Mount Usher, which is amongst Ireland’s most treasured gardens. The gardens were first planted in 1868 in the Robinsonian style. Afterwards visit Killruddery House and Gardens. Nature has never been more relaxing with leisurely walks in one of Ireland’s most renowned gardens, filled with beautiful planting and wooded areas, water features and distinctive outdoor “rooms”. Enjoy a guided tour of one of Ireland’s Great Historic Houses, and then relax in the attractive tearoom. Re-join your coach to make the journey back to your hotel stopping en-route at the Avoca Mill Store and visitor centre before returning to your hotel in Arklow.

Day 4 This morning after breakfast and checking out (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), join your coach as we travel to visit the famous Irish National Stud and the adjacent Japanese Gardens, which are a joy to wander. Nowhere better symbolises all that is great about County Kildare, the beating heart of Ireland’s thoroughbred industry, than the stud, a unique attraction of outstanding natural beauty that is home to some of the most magnificent horses and sumptuous gardens to be found anywhere in the world. Afterwards visit the Kildare outlet village to enjoy some free time before re-joining your coach to continue the journey home, returning to your original joining point early evening.
