Join us as we celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in Bantry, one of the most popular areas in Ireland to enjoy the celebrations. Each year on the 17th March, Bantry ‘Goes Green’ to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick. Watch the colourful floats, musicians and street dancers winding their way through this town and experience Irish Culture at its best in Bantry. Get in the spirt by raising a glass of the ‘black stuff’, dress in green or wear your shamrock to join the St Patricks Day party with those who do it best and give you a real traditional celebration of Irish culture and history. Staying at the 4 Star Westlodge Hotel and leisure centre, situated on 26 acres of landscaped gardens on the edge of Bantry town overlooking Bantry Bay in scenic West Cork. Spend time in the scenic town of Killarney before visiting Muckross house situated in the scenic Killarney National Park.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point. We’ll travel south towards Bantry stopping at the Kildare outlet village for some free time before continuing the journey to arrive at your hotel in Bantry late afternoon. On arrival check-in unpack, freshen up and relax before dinner.

DAY 2

This morning after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach as we travel into Bantry town to spend the day at leisure watching the spectacle of St Patrick’s Day in Bantry. Dress in green and join in on the fun with locals as the town comes alive with colourful floats, musicians and street dancers winding their way through this truly wonderful city. Afterwards return to your hotel to enjoy a Irish themed dinner and entertainment.

DAY 3

Following breakfast, we depart (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) travel to visit Killarney. Spend some time at leisure in one of Ireland’s most scenic towns bursting with atmosphere and personality with great shops, restaurant’s, pubs and friendly locals. Afterwards rejoin your coach to travel to visit Muckross House situated in the scenic Killarney National Park, with time to relax and enjoy the magnificent gardens and visit the craft centre and Garden restaurant before returning to your hotel for dinner.

DAY 4

This morning after breakfast and checking out (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), join your coach for the journey home, stopping to visit the Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park before re-joining your coach returning to your original joining point early evening.
