Join us on a short break this festive season staying approximately 20 minutes’ drive from the heart of Scotland’s majestic capital Edinburgh. Marvel at the skyline as you’ve never seen it before with a magical light show of projections and immersive illuminations lighting up the Castle in impressive colour. Enjoy free time to explore Edinburgh City at leisure. It is a beautiful city of cobbled streets, the majestic Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels. Explore the World Heritage Sites of the Old Town and New Town or visit one of the many museums or galleries. To finish off the tour enjoy a visit to Dumfries house, one of Britain’s most beautiful stately homes. Set in 2,000 acres, this stunning Estate and house has something for everyone. The house is beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, admire the decorations as you enjoy a festive house tour.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Belfast to join the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival in Cairnryan, we’ll travel to Edinburgh. Enjoy some time in Edinburgh City at your leisure before making the short journey to your hotel for check-in and dinner.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast (departure times will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach and travel the short distance into Edinburgh city (approx. 20 minutes). Today explore the city at your leisure and enjoy the festive season in Edinburgh and all it has to offer. In the afternoon meet your tour manager ( time and point will be confirmed by your tour manager) enjoy a festive afternoon tea at a local hotel before heading to Edinburgh Castle early evening for a magical light show of projections and immersive illuminations. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel for dinner.

DAY 3

This morning after breakfast and checking out (departure times will be confirmed by your tour manager), join your coach as we travel to Livingston Designer Outlet for some free time to finish off that Christmas shopping and grab some bargains. Livingston Designer Outlet is the largest outlet mall in Scotland with over 70 boutiques, restaurants and cafes, It has a wide range of stores, offering something to suit every taste. Highlights range from iconic fashion brands, including Fred Perry Kurt Geiger, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger, athletic labels like Nike and Adidas, and high-street favourites like Marks and Spencer’s and Next. Re-join your coach and travel to visit Dumfries house, one of Britain’s most beautiful stately homes. Set in 2,000 acres, this stunning Estate and house has something for everyone. The house is beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, admire the decorations as you enjoy a festive house tour followed by tea/coffee and mince pies. Afterwards re-join your coach as we continue the journey to Cairnryan to join the evening crossing back to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original starting point.
