Day 1: Journey to County Mayo & Arrival in Castlebar Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and settle in for a relaxing journey to County Mayo.  Along the way, we’ll make a stop in Sligo Town, where you’ll have free time to explore this charming destination. Later in the afternoon, we arrive at the Ellison Hotel in Castlebar for check-in. Enjoy some time to unwind, explore Castlebar at your leisure, and freshen up before a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Galway City Tour & Leisure Time After breakfast, meet your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your Tour Manager) and travel to Galway City for a day of discovery. Begin with a 2-hour city tour by both coach and on foot, led by a knowledgeable local guide who will bring to life Galway’s rich history, vibrant culture, and unique charm. Learn about the fascinating past and present of this medieval “City of the Tribes” through engaging and often humorous storytelling. Following the tour, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Stroll through the Latin Quarter, soak up the atmosphere in lively pubs, and perhaps indulge in some locally made ice cream at Café Linnalla overlooking Galway Bay. Later, rejoin your coach for the return journey to Castlebar.

Day 3: Connemara National Park & Kylemore Abbey After breakfast, board your coach for a full day exploring the spectacular scenery and timeless beauty of Connemara National Park. Your Tour Manager will confirm the departure time. Journey through one of Ireland’s most captivating landscapes, where rugged mountains, tranquil lakes and vast, unspoilt countryside create a truly unforgettable setting. Along the way, enjoy scenic stops to capture photographs and admire the dramatic views that make Connemara so distinctive. This afternoon, visit the magnificent Kylemore Abbey and Walled Gardens, the highlight of today’s excursion. Set against a picturesque lakeside backdrop, this former castle is now home to a Benedictine community and is renowned for its beautiful neo-Gothic church, tranquil surroundings and magnificent Victorian walled gardens. After your visit, rejoin the coach for the journey back to your hotel, arriving in time for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Westport & Walking Tour After breakfast, depart by coach for the day to visit the charming heritage town of Westport. On arrival, enjoy a guided Westport walking tour (approx. 60–90 minutes). This gentle-paced introduction is suitable for all abilities and is the perfect way to learn about the town’s history, architecture, and local character. Following the tour, enjoy free time to explore at your leisure. Browse the town’s boutique shops, relax in a traditional pub or café, or enjoy lunch in one of Westport’s welcoming eateries. In the afternoon, rejoin your coach and return to your hotel in Castlebar for your final evening on tour.

Day 5: Castlebar, Foxford Woollen Mills & Return Journey Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before checking out of the hotel (your departure time will be confirmed by the Tour Manager). You’ll have some free time in Castlebar to take a final stroll, pick up souvenirs, or enjoy a coffee at your leisure. Later this morning, we travel to the renowned Foxford Woollen Mills, one of Ireland’s last working mills. Here, you’ll have time to browse the beautifully curated store, perhaps find a special keepsake, and can enjoy a light lunch or refreshment at the popular Foxford Café. Afterwards, rejoin your coach for the homeward journey, with a comfort stop in Enniskillen along the way. We’ll return you to your original joining point, bringing home with you many wonderful memories of your time in the West of Ireland.
