Join us for a fabulous, five days of touring Yorkshire- Christmas Markets, shopping and relaxing and more on our festive fun tour. Staying at the Burn Hall hotel, set in 8 acres of parkland, and surrounded by North Yorkshire countryside. During the tour visit the magnificent stately home of Castle Howard as it is transformed for the festive season. Explore the vibrant City of York, visit the York Christmas markets (better known as the York St Nicholas Fayre) and enjoy some time at the York Designer outlet. This tour will give you plenty of time for shopping and sightseeing in the delightful towns of Knaresborough, and Skipton. There is also an opportunity to get that Christmas shopping sorted and grab some bargains at the York Designer outlet village.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected joining point and travel to Belfast for the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival in Cairnryan, we continue our journey to our hotel in Huby with a comfort stop en-route before arriving at the hotel late afternoon. Check-in, relax and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 2

After breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) travel to York to see the medieval city come alive. Soak up the atmosphere of the traditional York Christmas Markets (better known as the St Nicholas Fayre as you mingle with costumed stall owners and carol singers – choose ideal Yuletide gifts as you are surrounded by the delicious aromas of spicy gingerbread, roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate laced with brandy. Browse the cobbled shopping streets of Stonegate and its famous shambles and after a great day shopping meet your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and make your way back to your hotel to enjoy dinner.

DAY 3

This morning after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach and travel to visit the magnificent stately home of Castle Howard transformed for the festive season. Experience the magnificent decorations as you journey through the House’s grand state rooms. Open fires, candlelight, wreaths, garlands and ensure to see the iconic 25-foot Christmas tree adored with over 3000 baubles providing breath-taking highlight in the Great Hall. Afterwards meet your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and travel to the York Designer Outlet Village to enjoy some time to explore over 120 designers’ stores – ideal opportunity to start your Christmas shopping. Re-join your coach to return to your hotel to relax before dinner.

DAY 4

Today after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) travel to visit the historic North Yorkshire market town of Knaresborough, take some time to explore the medieval streets and stone staircases that weave their way up and down the hill. The town centre is perched on the cliffs above the river Nidd and the imposing railway viaduct across the Nidd Gorge offers an amazing view. Next stop is to the charming market town of Skipton, with its famous 900-year-old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street, Skipton is endlessly rich both in history and outstanding natural beauty. Finally, we will visit market town of Grassington before returning to the hotel to relax before dinner.

DAY 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach as we say goodbye to Yorkshire and make our way back to Cairnryan Port making a comfort stop enroute before joining the early evening ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
