Join us as we explore Sligo and County Mayo. County Sligo boasts one of the most appealing stretches of the coast on the Wild Atlantic Way with its majestic scenery, landscapes, and many attractions. County Mayo is a place of character and charm enhanced by its history and heritage, with towns, villages, and friendly people to capture your heart. The base for our tour is the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone for the duration of the trip situated directly on the Wild Atlantic Way and overlooking Killala Bay and Enniscrone Golf Course, just a short walk from the beach. The highlights of our tour are a visit to Westport and Westport house, visit Foxford Woollen Mills, tour the wild Atlantic way, tour county Mayo and enjoy a boat tour on Lough Gill.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point. Sit back and relax as you travel west, stopping in Donegal Town for some free time before continuing the journey to Enniscrone arriving late afternoon at the Diamond Coast hotel. Check-in, relax and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast, join your coach as we travel to enjoy a visit and have a guided tour of one of the last working mills in Ireland – Foxford Woollen Mills. Re-join your coach as we tour around Co, Mayo stopping in Knock, Castlebar and Ballina before returning to your hotel in Enniscrone

DAY 3

After breakfast, join your coach and travel to visit Drumcliffe the burial place of the poet W.B. Yeats. Re-join your coach as we head to enjoy a cruise on Lough Gill. To the east of Sligo town lies one of Ireland’s most entrancing lakes, Lough Gill or better known as “Lake Isle of Innisfree” set beneath wooded slopes which provide the backdrop to almost 25 miles of shoreline. Board the cruiser ‘Rose of Innisfree’ to catch sight of idyllic ‘Innisfree’. Afterwards travel into Sligo to enjoy some time to explore before re-joining your coach to return to our hotel in Enniscrone.

DAY 4

This morning we depart after breakfast, to tour the Wild Atlantic Way en-route to Westport, admire the stunning scenery and views. Firstly, visit Westport house a 400-year-old historic house within 400- acres of unspoilt beauty and is one of Ireland’s most beloved heritage visits. Afterwards spend some time in the Heritage town of Westport one of Ireland’s major tourist destinations, located at the southeast corner of Clew Bay, near the sea with the famous Mayo Mountains in the backdrop. Take time to explore the elegant tree-lined streets along the river known as The Mall. Bustling Bridge Street is the main shopping street with cheerful shop fronts and the central square. Late afternoon, re-join your coach and travel back to your hotel in Enniscrone.

DAY 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out, spend some time in Enniscrone before we make our journey home, travelling via Enniskillen stopping for some free time to explore the town before re-joining your coach to continue the journey returning to your original joining point early evening.
