The people of Yorkshire are immensely proud of their county and especially of the food and drink. Join us as we explore all Yorkshire has to offer based at the Burn Hall Hotel, a Victorian Manor House nestling in the glorious Yorkshire countryside. Today some of the best meat, cheese, beer, and baked goods can be found in Yorkshire and there’s no better way to enjoy them than on this tour. Sample some of Yorkshires famous delights whilst travelling through the heart of the Dales. Enjoy fish and chips on the coast and a relaxing day in York with a visit to the York Chocolate House and concluding with a sumptuous afternoon tea.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected joining point and travel to Belfast for the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival in Cairnryan, we continue our journey to Yorkshire with a stop at the Gretna Gateway Outlet Village en-route before arriving at your hotel late afternoon. Check-in, relax and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 2

This morning after breakfast, join your coach and travel to Ripon. First stop is to visit the Black Sheep Brewery. First opened in 1992 the tour will tell tales of how the brewery started to the present day. Visit the Brewhouse and sample a range of the delicious beers that make them of Yorkshire’s finest. Afterwards re-join your coach as we explore more of Yorkshire stopping to visit the small market town of Grassington and the town of Skipton before returning to our hotel for dinner.

DAY 3

After breakfast join your coach as we visit York. In 1700’s York’s privileged location on the River Oose made it the perfect location to grease chocolate making wheels and so it started. From Rowntree’s to Terry’s some of the most famous names in confectionary were founded in York. York Chocolate House, founded in 2011 tells the story of York Chocolate what it has become today. During the tour you will learn how the chocolate is crafted. Afterwards afternoon tea has been arranged to showcase some of Yorkshire best produce before enjoying free time exploring the Shambles and everything York has to offer.

DAY 4

Depart after breakfast first stop is Pickering before hopping on the Yorkshire Moors Railways for a relaxing journey to Whitby. Overlooking the North Sea, the ruined gothic Whitby Abbey was Bram Stoker’s inspiration for ‘Dracula’. No visit to Whitby would be complete without trying it famous fish and chips. Return to York via Robin Hood’s Bay with a stop off in Scarborough to complete the Yorkshire Coaster.

DAY 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out, join your coach as you travel to Hawes to visit the Wensleydale Creamery. The centre takes you on the journey of the art of cheese making through the years. Re-join your coach as we continue the journey to Cairnryan to join the evening ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
