Itinerary

Day 1: Travel & Caledonia Park Designer Outlet Village Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and begin your journey with an early morning ferry crossing from Belfast to Cairnryan. Upon arrival in Scotland, we continue towards Newcastle, breaking the journey with a relaxing stop at the Caledonia Park Designer Outlet Village. Enjoy free time to browse a range of popular high-street and designer stores offering fantastic discounts—perfect for a bit of retail therapy or a leisurely lunch. We then continue to Newcastle, arriving at your hotel in the late afternoon. Check in, unwind, and freshen up before joining your group for dinner and an overview of the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Alnwick Castle & Gardens and Scenic Tour of the Northumbrian Coast After breakfast this morning (departure time will be confirmed by your Tour Manager), board your coach for a visit to the magnificent Alnwick Castle and Gardens, one of England’s most iconic historic landmarks and the ancestral home of the Duke of Northumberland. Explore the lavishly decorated State Rooms, including the Drawing Room, Dining Room, and the 400-year-old Library housing over 16,000 rare books. Step outside to wander the stunning 26-acre Alnwick Garden, famous for its Grand Cascade, ornate landscaping, and the intriguing Poison Garden. In the afternoon, we take a scenic drive along the breathtaking Northumbrian Coast, with wide sandy beaches, quaint villages, and ancient castles. This stretch of coastline is some of the most beautiful in the country. Enjoy scenic photo stops at picturesque villages and dramatic coastal viewpoints before rejoining your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your Tour Manager) for the return journey to your hotel.

Day 3: Newcastle and City Tour After breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), meet your local guide for a guided tour of the city, who will show you the sites and tell the tales of Newcastle, famous for its industrial heritage, brown ale, and ‘Geordie’ dialect. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore the city and its culture for yourself. Later, you will meet your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and return to your hotel to relax before dinner.

Day 4: Holy Island* & The village of Seahouses and Bamburgh After breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your Tour Manager), we journey to Holy Island (Lindisfarne)—a stunning tidal island off the Northumberland coast. Accessed via a 2-mile causeway (*subject to tidal conditions), Holy Island is not only the cradle of Christianity in England, but also a place of serene natural beauty. Stroll through its charming village, explore historic ruins, enjoy wildlife spotting, and relax in one of the island’s inviting cafés or character-filled pubs. On our return, we’ll stop along the coastline at Bamburgh, home to sweeping golden beaches and the iconic Bamburgh Castle (entry payable locally). Take time to explore or enjoy a walk with sea views. Our final stop is the picturesque fishing village of Seahouses. With its bustling harbour, fresh fish and chips, and scenic coastal walks, it offers the perfect end to our day. Keep an eye out for local wildlife before we return to the hotel to relax and refresh before dinner.

Day 5: Return Journey After breakfast and check-out (departure time will be confirmed by your Tour Manager), we bid farewell to Newcastle and begin our journey back to Cairnryan Port. En route, we’ll make a comfort stop before boarding the afternoon ferry to Belfast. On arrival in Belfast, you will return to your original joining point, marking the end of your tour.
