Discover the stunning beauty of Scotland’s Ayrshire Coast and Isles. This tour takes us to the charming corner of Scotland located on the picturesque Clyde Coast of Ayrshire, the gateway to one of Scotland’s finest islands the Isle of Arran. The base for our tour is the Riverside lodge hotel located on the outskirts of Irvine. This tour combines exploration of the Ayrshire Coast with a port of island hopping. Featured are visits to Culzean Castle, Brodick Castle and plenty of time at leisure. Explore the unique and rugged beauty of the Isle of Arran with its mountains, lowlands, glens and lochs.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Belfast Port to join the early morning sailing to Scotland. On arrival in Cairnryan we travel to our hotel in Irvine. On arrival check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon to relax before dinner.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast join your coach, for a scenic drive to the charming seaside resort of Largs for the short crossing to Great Cumbrae, a small and picturesque island only 10 miles round. Stop in Millport before the return crossing to Langs. This afternoon, we recommend time at leisure in Troon with its sand beaches, beautiful views, and bustling harbour. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel to relax before dinner.

DAY 3

This morning, join your coach, as we head south to Culzean Castle and Country Park, perched high above the Ayrshire cliffs. A costumed guide will share the secrets of the castle, once home to the chieftan of Clan Kennedy, an ancient Scottish family descended from Robert the Bruce. Afterwards rejoin your coach as we travel into Ayr to enjoy some free time in the seaside town before returning to our hotel in Irvine.

DAY 4

After breakfast, join your coach, for a full day excursion to the Isle of Arran. We will take the ferry Adrossan to Brodick then begin the day with a visit to Brodick Castle, dramatically set against the backdrop of Goatfell, the grand red sanstone, baronial-style castle has stunning views over Brodick Bay and boasts impressive gardens. Spend time in Brodick before re-boarding the ferry back to the mainland and returning to our hotel in Irvine for dinner.

DAY 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out, bid farewell to Irvine as we make our way back to the port of Cairnryan with a comfort stop en-route before joining the afternoon ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
