Join us on this 3-night tour exploring beautiful Co. Mayo. The area offers incredible scenery, a strong sense of tradition, a friendly welcome, and is packed with historic sites. Sit back, relax, and admire some of Ireland’s spectacular coastal route- the Wild Atlantic Way as we tour. During the tour visit the town of Westport and enjoy some time at Westport House and Gardens, a stunning Georgian property with a history of piracy. Spend some time in Castlebar, visit Foxford woollen mills and The National Museum of Country Life. Staying at the Twin Trees hotel located overlooking the Brosna River less than 1 mile outside Ballina Town.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point. Sit back and relax as you travel west, stopping in Enniskillen en-route before continuing the journey to Ballina arriving Mid-afternoon at the Twin Trees hotel for check-in. Why not take a walk into the town of Ballina approximately 20 minutes’ walk away and have a wander around and see what it has to offer before dinner.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast, we first enjoy a visit and have a guided tour of one of the last working mills in Ireland – Foxford Woollen Mills. Afterwards re-join your coach as we travel to Castlebar before visiting the National Museum of Country life. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel in Ballina.

DAY 3

This morning we depart after breakfast, to tour the Wild Atlantic Way en-route to Westport, admire the stunning scenery and views. Firstly, visit Westport house a 400-year-old historic house within 400- acres of unspoilt beauty. Afterward spend some time in the Heritage town of Westport one of Irelands major tourist destinations, located at the southeast corner of Clew Bay, near the sea with the famous Mayo Mountains in the backdrop. Take time to explore the elegant tree-lined streets along the river known as The Mall. Bustling Bridge Street is the main shopping street with cheerful shop fronts and the central square. Late afternoon, re-join your coach and travel back to your hotel in Ballina.

DAY 4

This morning after breakfast and checking out, say farewell to Ballina and join your coach for the return journey home. Firstly, we will make a stop in Enniscrone, well known for its beauty and is one of Ireland’s most popular seaside resorts. Then continue the journey to Sligo, making another stop with some free time to explore before re-joining your coach to continue the journey returning to your original joining point early evening.
