Enjoy a taste of Irish culture as we explore southeast Ireland, staying at the Majestic Hotel in the seaside town of Tramore in County Waterford. Visit Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford and enjoy a city walking tour to learn the city’s history. Visit Dungarvan, Mount Congreve Estate and Gardens and enjoy a train ride on the Waterford Suir Valley Railway. Tour the beautiful Copper Coast, now a UNESCO Global Geopark, extends along County Waterford’s coastline for 25km and is named after the 19th century copper mines which lie at the heart of this spectacular stretch of cliffs. A scenic drive takes us along part of the route, taking in panoramic ocean views and pretty fishing villages.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point. Sit back and relax as we make our journey to Waterford, stopping at the Kildare outlet village for some free time before continuing the journey to arrive at your hotel in Tramore late afternoon. On arrival check-in unpack, freshen up and relax before dinner.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast, join your coach and travel into Waterford to meet your guide for a walking tour of Waterford. During the 60-minute tour learn the history of the city. Afterwards enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace. Established by the Vikings in the 9th century, it has become the capital of Irelands sunny southeast. Why not visit the city’s museums or quirky shops. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel in Tramore to relax and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 3

This morning, depart your hotel to visit the Waterford Suir Valley railway. Board the train for a ride along the picturesque banks of the river Suir to the famous Mount Congreve Estate for a guided garden highlights tour giving us an insight into the history of Mount Congreve House and Gardens. Re-join your coach and travel back to your hotel.

DAY 4

After breakfast, join your coach as we depart the hotel for a scenic drive along the Copper Coast, this is one of the most beautiful, unspoilt scenic drives in Ireland. Sit back and admire the stunning coastal landscapes. The drive goes through many villages and winds its way along the coast passing many beaches and hidden coves. Stopping in harbour town of Dungarvan with some time at leisure to explore before re-joining your coach to return to your hotel in Tramore. Why not take a stroll around Tramore before dinner.

DAY 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out, say farewell to Tramore as you join your coach for the journey home, stopping to visit the Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park before re-joining your coach returning to your original joining point early evening.
