Calling all Coronation Street fans! Don’t miss out on this must-do experience: a guided tour of the beloved external sets at MediaCity UK. Step behind the camera lens and discover the hidden world of Weatherfield, the nation’s most famous street. Immerse yourself in the familiar surroundings of the Rovers Return, Roy’s Rolls, Underworld, and The Kabin as you wander through the iconic sets. Staying at the Best Western Cresta Court hotel in Altrincham, 8 miles southwest of Manchester and only a short ride away from Manchester City Centre. During the tour we will also enjoy some free time in Manchester City Centre and the popular Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Dublin Port to join the early morning sailing to Holyhead. On arrival in Holyhead, we travel to our hotel making a stop en-route to visit Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet to enjoy some free time to explore over 140 stores and grab some bargains before continuing the journey to your hotel in Altrincham. On arrival check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast we depart the hotel and travel to Manchester’s Salford Quays area. Visit the Coronation Street Experience MediaCityUK sets. On arrival meet your guide (Please note you will be subject to a person and bag search prior to starting the tour.) for an escorted tour of the exterior sets of Coronation Street. Hear first-hand the fascinating stories and filming secrets from the studio guides as you’re given the chance to stroll Coronation Street, Rosamund Street, and the newly extended Victoria Street to see Roy’s Rolls, The Kabin, Underworld and of course – the Rovers Return. Head behind the scenes to discover the wonders of the production process, capture your time on set with a selfie and see the iconic locations you’ve watched on your screen for over 50 years! Afterwards join your coach to travel into Manchester City Centre for some free time to explore the city at your leisure before returning to the hotel late afternoon. The evening is free to explore Altrincham or jump on the Metrolink (a short walk from the hotel) and travel into Manchester City Centre.

DAY 3

This morning after breakfast and checking out, join your coach as we make our way back to the port of Holyhead with a comfort stop en-route before re-joining your coach to make your way back to Holyhead to join the early afternoon ferry crossing to Dublin Port. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
