Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point. Sit back and relax as you travel Southeast, to Carlow with a comfort stop en-route before arriving late afternoon at the Woodford Dolmen hotel for check-in, with time to freshen up before dinner.

DAY 2

This morning we depart after breakfast, join your coach as we travel to New Ross, a town steeped in history, where we will visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship Experience. Afterwards travel to visit the oldest city in Ireland Waterford. It’s a vibrant and picturesque city that has managed to carefully maintain its important heritage, while also having a lively and modern shopping area, filled with cafes, award winning restaurants and an excellent mix of traditional, local, and contemporary pubs. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore the city’s culture and heritage. Late afternoon, re-join your coach and travel back to your hotel in Carlow.

DAY 3

After breakfast, join your coach and travel to visit Kilkenny, Ireland’s Medieval capital. Firstly, enjoy a visit to Kilkenny Castle before enjoying some free time to explore the city and its attractions including, Medieval Mile Museum, Rothe House Smithwick’s Experience, St Canice’s Cathedral, and the Round Tower. Mid-afternoon, re-join your coach (departure time and point will be confirmed by your tour manager) as we travel back to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 4

Today after breakfast join your coach as we travel to visit Huntington Castle and Gardens. Afterwards join your coach to spend the afternoon in Wexford, a bustling harbour town which rewards visitors with glimpses into its glorious Norman and Viking heritage including its old town walls and gates and the ruins of Selskar Abbey. Take time to explore its picturesque harbour and narrow winding streets. Late afternoon, re-join your coach and travel back to your hotel in Carlow.

DAY 5

This morning after breakfast and checking out, join your coach for the journey home, stopping to visit the Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park before re-joining your coach returning to your original joining point early evening.
