Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at your selected joining point and travel to Belfast for the early morning ferry crossing to Cairnryan. On arrival in Cairnryan, we travel to Glasgow to enjoy some free time to explore the city. Glasgow is rich with industrial heritage, striking architecture and a brilliant mix of top attractions, there are hundreds of amazing things to see and do in this city. Mid-afternoon, re-join your coach and continue the journey to our hotel in Dundee. On arrival at the Invercarse Hotel check-in, relax and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast join your coach as we travel the short distance in Dundee to enjoy some free time. We will visit the Iconic V&A museum. After the multi-million-pound regeneration of the city’s waterfront, the Royal’s Museum has become an emblem of the project. Afterward visit the nearby Scone Palace. It is here the ‘Stone of Scone’ was used to crown many Scottish Monarchs over the centuries. It is now referred to as the ‘Coronation Stone’ and was last used in 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizbeth II. Outside, over one hundred acres of fabulous Perthshire countryside is waiting to be explored.

DAY 3

After breakfast travel South over the Forth Road Bridge and into Edinburgh. Enjoy free time to explore both the old and new town of the city, before heading to Leith to visit The Royal Yacht Britannia. The yacht was home to the Royal Family for over 40 years, sailing over 1.000.000 miles on official state visits. Follow in the footsteps of Royalty to discover the hear and soul of this regal ship with a fascinating self-guided tour. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel in Dundee.

DAY 4

This morning after breakfast join your coach as we travel to visit Glamis Castle. Regarded as Scotland’s most beautiful castle. It is the childhood home of the Queen Mother, birthplace of Princess Margaret and the legendary setting of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Explore the castle with its lavish rooms, each telling a different story of its history. Stroll round the Italian Gardens and Pathways throughout the estate. Afterwards enjoy an intimate guided gin tasting in one of Glamis most loved local gin producers. The quaint and quirky Gin Bothy has now become one of Scotland’s best kept secrets, the proof is in the pudding.

DAY 5

This morning after a leisurely breakfast and checking out, we depart Dundee and make our journey back to Cairnryan stopping in Stirling for some free time to explore the city before joining the evening crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
