Itinerary

Day 1 – Journey to West Cork Travel by luxury coach to the beautiful harbour town of Bantry in the heart of West Cork, with comfort stops en route. On arrival, check in to the welcoming Westlodge Hotel, your home for the next four nights. Set within landscaped gardens overlooking Bantry Bay, the hotel offers the perfect place to relax before enjoying dinner this evening.

Day 2 – Glengarriff, Garnish Island & Kenmare After breakfast, travel to the picturesque village of Glengarriff, where mountains, woodland and sea combine to create one of Ireland’s most scenic settings. Enjoy a delightful boat trip across Bantry Bay to beautiful Garnish Island, famous for its magnificent Italian-style gardens and remarkable collection of rare and exotic plants. This afternoon, continue to the colourful heritage town of Kenmare, where there will be free time to browse the shops, explore the charming streets or relax before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3 – Discover the Spectacular Beara Peninsula Today’s guided excursion explores the breathtaking Beara Peninsula, one of Ireland’s hidden treasures. Journey through dramatic mountain passes, rugged Atlantic coastline and picturesque villages, discovering ancient stone circles and enjoying spectacular views around every bend. Later, return to Bantry, where you’ll have free time to stroll along the waterfront, browse the independent shops or enjoy a coffee before returning to the Westlodge Hotel for dinner.

Day 4 – Mizen Head, Schull & Bantry House This morning, travel to the spectacular Mizen Head, Ireland’s most south-westerly point. Cross the famous suspension footbridge and visit the award-winning Mizen Head Signal Station, where breathtaking coastal scenery and fascinating maritime history await. Continue to the picturesque seaside village of Schull for time at leisure before visiting the magnificent Bantry House & Gardens. Overlooking Bantry Bay, this elegant stately home is renowned for its fine interiors, historic collections and beautifully landscaped gardens. Return to the hotel for dinner and your final evening in West Cork.

Day 5 – Homeward Journey After breakfast, bid farewell to Bantry and begin the journey home.
