Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to North Wales Meet your coach at your chosen pick-up point and begin your journey to the port for the early morning sailing from Dublin to Holyhead. Sit back and relax as you cross the Irish Sea, taking in the views as you travel towards North Wales.
On arrival in Holyhead, we continue our journey across the country, with a convenient comfort stop en route to our hotel in Mold. By late afternoon, we arrive at the welcoming Beaufort Park Hotel.
Check in, settle into your room, and take time to unwind before enjoying a relaxing evening meal in the hotel restaurant, the perfect start to your holiday.
Day 2: Halen Môn Sea Salt & Puffin Island Cruise After breakfast, we travel to the beautiful Isle of Anglesey for a day combining local heritage with spectacular coastal scenery. Our first visit is to the award-winning Halen Môn Visitor Centre, where you’ll discover the remarkable story of how a simple saucepan of seawater led to the creation of one of Britain’s finest artisan sea salts. Learn about the traditional harvesting methods and the passion behind this internationally acclaimed Welsh delicacy.
We then continue to the coast to board our cruise to Puffin Island, a designated nature reserve renowned for its abundant wildlife. Sit back and enjoy the stunning views of the Menai Strait and Anglesey coastline as you look out for puffins (season permitting), guillemots, razorbills, cormorants, seals and, with a little luck, even dolphins.
Following our cruise, we rejoin the coach and return to the Beaufort Park Hotel, where there is time to relax and freshen up before enjoying dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: The North Wales Coast & Llandudno Enjoy a leisurely morning before we set off to explore the stunning North Wales coastline. Travelling west, we pass through a succession of popular seaside resorts, including Prestatyn and Rhyl, with opportunities to stop and enjoy the fresh sea air. Along the way, admire sweeping sandy beaches, picturesque coastal villages and views of the magnificent medieval fortress of Conwy Castle.
Our destination is the elegant Victorian resort of Llandudno, where you’ll have free time to stroll along the famous promenade, browse the shops, or visit the town’s historic pier. Today we round off the visit with a traditional fish and chip supper at one of Llandudno’s renowned seafront restaurants for dinner before we return to the hotel for the evening.
Day 4: Chester Gin & River Dee Cruise Depart after breakfast as we travel to the historic city of Chester, where we begin with a visit to the acclaimed Three Wrens Distillery. Founded in 2019 by Nick, this award-winning Cheshire distillery offers a truly engaging gin experience. Enjoy a guided tour and tasting, with insight into the craft and creativity behind each unique botanical blend, led by the distillery’s founder himself.
This afternoon, we take to the River Dee for a relaxing cruise, offering a charming perspective of Chester’s distinctive architecture and riverside scenery. Sit back and unwind as you enjoy a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes, and tea on board, the perfect way to round off a memorable day in this historic city before returning to your hotel in Mold for dinner.
Day 5: Homeward Bound After breakfast and check-out (departure time will be confirmed by your Tour Manager), we depart and begin our journey back to Holyhead, allowing plenty of time for a comfort stop along the way.
In the early afternoon, board the ferry for the crossing to Dublin Port. Upon arrival, continue by coach to your original pick-up point, bringing your tour to a close with wonderful memories of your time away.
