Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Dungarvan Join your coach at your selected pick-up point. Sit back and relax as we travel south, making a comfort stop en route to the picturesque harbour town of Dungarvan and check in to the welcoming Lawlor’s Hotel. Settle into your comfortable accommodation. Then enjoy the rest of the day to explore Dungarvan at your leisure, take a stroll through the town square or along the quayside.

Day 2: Mount Congreve Gardens & Copper Coast After breakfast, travel to the magnificent Mount Congreve Gardens, renowned as one of the world’s great gardens. Spend the morning exploring its beautiful woodland walks, colourful ornamental displays and spectacular views across the River Suir. Afterwards, rejoin your coach and continue to the Copper Coast, where you’ll enjoy a scenic afternoon journey through one of Ireland’s most beautiful coastal landscapes. Along the way, admire dramatic cliffs, picturesque beaches, rugged coastline and breathtaking sea views, with stops to take in the scenery and capture some memorable photographs. Return to Dungarvan in the late afternoon, with the remainder of the evening at leisure to relax and enjoy the town at your own pace.

Day 3: Lismore Castle Gardens & The Vee Scenic Drive After breakfast, travel to the picturesque heritage town of Lismore, home to the magnificent Lismore Castle Gardens. Set against the backdrop of the historic castle, explore the beautifully landscaped gardens, colourful planting, woodland paths and peaceful surroundings, with wonderful views across the Blackwater Valley. In the afternoon, rejoin your coach for a scenic journey through the Vee, one of Ireland’s most spectacular mountain passes. Travel through the breathtaking Knockmealdown Mountains, taking in panoramic views of the valleys, mountains and surrounding countryside. Enjoy a stop in the charming village of Clogheen before continuing through the scenic Blackwater Valley and Cappoquin. After a memorable day combining beautiful gardens, mountain landscapes and picturesque villages, return to Dungarvan to enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.

Day 4: Waterford Crystal & Waterford City Today, travel to Waterford City, Ireland’s oldest city, for a day filled with history, culture and discovery. Begin with a visit to the renowned Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre, where you’ll discover the fascinating craftsmanship, skill and heritage behind this world-famous Irish brand. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore the historic Viking Triangle, wander through the city’s charming streets, browse the shops, or relax in one of the many cafés, pubs and restaurants. Take time to soak up the atmosphere of Waterford’s vibrant waterfront and historic centre before rejoining the coach for the return journey to Dungarvan, where the remainder of the evening is at leisure.

Day 5: Kilkenny & Homeward Journey After breakfast, depart Dungarvan and travel to the historic medieval city of Kilkenny. Enjoy some free time to explore its charming streets, browse the independent boutiques and shops, or relax in one of the city’s cafés and restaurants. For those who wish to explore further, there is the option to walk to visit the magnificent Kilkenny Castle and its beautiful parklands (admission payable locally). After your time in Kilkenny, rejoin the coach for the onward journey home, bringing a wonderful Irish break to a close.
